The Weight Factor
Experiment
The Statistical Lottery Software
Win More, Win More Often!
The Weight Factor experiment commenced on December 8, 2003 to evaluate the current performance of Lotto Cheatah's uncharted weight-factor function. The Illinois Little Lotto is used as the test game. Lotto Cheatah Version 1.34 was the current release version and started the experiment. The experiment is expected to run through December 30, 2003.
Ten picks are saved every Mon-Fri morning from every pick and weight setting starting at depth 50 through 500. Lotto Cheatah's PowerPicker function is used to make the picks. The post-draw performance results are as shown below:

[ Legend ]
If you go into Lotto Cheatah's menu item Config you will find that you can
configure Lotto Cheatah to automaticly find the best pick setting, either
by the number of money paying hits (By Hits) or by the largest total dollar
payout (By Score).
Reading the columns:
Date: Date of the draw
Weight: The weight factor setting used to make the picks
Hits: Total money paying hits for this date ("By
Hits" method).
Score: The Total of money paying hits x odds for this date (Score
method).
Best Hit % @ : Config'd to "By Hits", this is the current money paying
hit rate @ this pick setting.
Best $ Score @: Config'd to "By Score", this is the current money
winning score @ this pick setting.
Note that there has only been one run recorded [as at this writing], so these
hit/score rates are for 1 draw only. Hit/Score rates displayed on the software
are normally for 10 draws, ie, a hit rate of 80% for one draw would appear
as 8% for 10 draws if no other hits were recorded at this pick setting during
that period.
addendum: the term "checked" and "unchecked" is the Companions
checkbox setting.

Subject: Ron Question About The Weight Factor

Dunno. That's why I'm doing the experiment. So far weight 7 has hit hardest
for one round and weight 1 has hit most and biggest overall. Foreman vs
Ali. We'll see who wins.
