FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions]
Q. I have draw results but no chart for [date].
Am I missing data?
A. Possibly. It depends.
If the missing chart is between charts, ie; for
an older game, then the missing entry represents a "skunk". PowerPicker failed
to hit money within the first 10 picks at any setting under depth 500.
Skunked!
If the missing chart is the last chart, ie; for
the current game, then it may not yet be on the server. Lottery databases
are updated to the server first, followed by the charts file, usually about
1/2 hr. later. Try clicking the Update Lottery button again. No credit is
deducted for updating just the chart.
note: skunked draws [ 0-hits ] are displayed starting May 24, 2003
with v1.21 or newer
Q. What does the "score"
mean?
A. The score represents the total of all *money-winning hits (*2-hits
and jackpot-hits excluded) x the odds of hitting them. For example,
on Lotto 6/49 the odds of hitting 3/6 are 1:57. When Lotto Cheatah hits 3/6
on that game with one of its 10 PowerPicks, it adds 57 to the "score" for
that pick setting.
*Based on the first 10 picks per pick setting to a maximum depth of
500 past draws or end of draw history, whichever comes first.
On charts. Score = total *money-winning hits x odds for this draw (Horizontal score).
Best Depth Score = the highest total of *money-winning hits x odds is this pick setting. Based on all charts in the database (Vertical Score).
Best Recent Score = the highest total of
*money-winning hits x odds is this pick setting. Based on the last 10 charts
(Vertical Score).
note: hold the mouse pointer over the Best Depth or Best
Recent Score [or Hits] to reveal the number of draws and picks
used.
Q. What is the difference between "By Score" and
"By $ Hits" in the Config function for Auto depth
setup?
A. Configurating your Auto Depth finder:
By Score: Configures Lotto Cheatah to use the highest payout pick setting (jackpot-hits excluded).
By $ Hits: Configures Lotto Cheatah to use the pick setting that has had the most money-paying hits, regardless of the amount paid (2-hits and jackpot-hits excluded).
Q. When viewing a depth chart, holding down the CTRL key lets me accumulate many charts onto one display. What is the purpose of this?
A. Multi-select can be a powerful what if tool. Example: if you multi-select x-number of charts you will see which pick settings hit the most or the least and which depth-spans were the most or least prolific over x-period of time. You can then compare the highest, lowest, most/least prolific grouping, etc., with the results of the next chart(s). Using multi-select to play what if may help you anticipate what pick settings will be hottest for the next draw.
